Frequently Asked Questions

Wholesale Line Rental (WLR)

Q. What is Wholesale Line Rental (WLR)?
The introduction of WLR enables alternative Service Providers to rent lines from BT's local exchanges, meaning businesses in the UK can now deal exclusively with the telecoms company of their choice. With WLR businesses can pay for their calls and lines in one single bill, offering simplified billing and lower charges by cutting additional Service Providers out of the loop. GCC Networks estimate that this method could potentially save business up to 20% on their line rental.

Q. How does Wholesale Line Rental work?
As BT now has to offer other suppliers the opportunity to rent their lines, this has made way for WLR. Choosing line/call inclusive packages will cancel all charges and line rental billing by BT and move the services to an alternative carrier. You will start to receive one bill showing line rental and itemised calls rather than two seperate bills. This will not affect your lines or any of the services you have, these services will be continually supported and the charges will be itemised on your bill.
