Q. What do we mean by Push and Pull Technologies?
'Push/Pull' technologies are methods of information distribution and retrieval applications via the internet. Push Technology is different from Pull Technology as it enables users to push information out with relevant products and services. With Push Technology, a server sends information to a client without waiting for a request, and this information will be received in real time.

In terms of the BlackBerry or OpenHand email solutions, the term push/pull technology refers to the synchronised distribution and retrieval of data information from the wireless devices to the internet PC and vice versa.

Q. What do we mean by 3G?
3G refers to third generation, describing the next generation of mobile phone communication systems. 3G was created to support the effective delivery of a range of multimedia services, available whilst on the move. 3G mobile phone handsets combine the functionality of a mobile phone with that of a personal computer and a personal organiser.

Q. What do we mean by Call Data Record Billing (CDR)?
CDR allows independent dealers to set their own tariffs and bundles, and even invoice customers on their own branded company statements.

Q. Is it possible to carry over the same mobile number to a new network provider?
Yes. Known as number porting, GCC Networks offer the facility to carry the same mobile number from a previous network to the new one.

Q. How long do new connections take?
New orders take 5 days to process from start to finish, including registration of your new SIM card and delivery of your handset. Number Porting can take slightly longer, taking between 7-10 days to fully activate.
